Warehouse Trainee

Location: Mt Pleasant, NSW

Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships specialise in the employment of Apprentices and Trainees and the design and delivery of nationally accredited training.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Warehouse Trainee to join the team at Mt Pleasant. This full-time traineeship provides hands-on experience within a busy warehouse environment while completing a Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Warehouse Operations.

This opportunity is ideal for school leavers, recent graduates, or mature-age applicants looking to begin a rewarding career in warehousing and logistics.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Trainee, you will work alongside experienced team members and gain practical experience across a range of warehouse operations. You will develop valuable skills in inventory management, stock control, warehousing systems, and safe work practices while receiving ongoing mentoring and support throughout your traineeship.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods
  • Picking, packing, and dispatching stock
  • Assisting with inventory and stock control processes
  • Operating warehouse equipment in accordance with training and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Assisting with stocktakes and warehouse audits
  • Supporting warehouse and logistics operations as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A strong ability to show initiative and a positive work ethic
  • Accuracy, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential
  • A genuine commitment to completing a traineeship
  • Previous warehouse exposure is highly regarded
  • A current driver's licence (essential)
  • Minimum 18 years of age to obtain a High-Risk Work Licence
  • LF Forklift Licence is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment
  • Basic computer literacy
  • The ability to provide contactable work and/or school references
